We hope this email finds you and your loved ones in good health. As promised, we are providing you with more information about the EPWBA’s mentorship initiative. We have been in contact with several young women interested in pursuing law school. The mentees are either enrolled in high school or at UTEP and most, if not all, have no connection to the legal field—let alone, women attorneys or judges serving as their mentors.
In light of the social isolation brought about by Covid-19 together with the grief and uncertainty so many girls and women are experiencing with the recent loss of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, we ask you to consider joining the list of EPWBA Mentors. Although the first-year cohort of mentees is relatively small, with your support we can grow and strengthen the program each year. The time commitment will be up to you, however, we encourage making it a point to connect with your mentee at least once a month to ensure a meaningful and rewarding experience for all.
If you want to become a mentor or previously contacted us about serving as a mentor, please email by Friday afternoon at pmata@bomwlaw.com. In your email, please provide me with the following information and keep in mind that the information you provide us may be shared with your assigned mentee:
Your title/organization
Your preferred email address
Office or mobile number
Your area of practice
Once we have all mentors and mentees on board, we will provide a date and details for a virtual meet-and-greet to connect all EPWBA mentors with their mentees! Thanks for your consideration. Have a good evening!
