Erin
Delaney Matney is a seasoned prosecutor with over two decades of experience in
criminal law. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University
of Texas at Austin in 1998, Ms. Matney went on to complete a Juris Doctor from
Texas Tech University School of Law in 2001. Following a brief stint with Kemp
Smith, Erin was drawn to public service and joined the District Attorney’s
Office in February 2003.
Since
then, Ms. Matney has tried 96 cases to verdict, including high-stakes
prosecutions such as murder, continuous sexual assault of a child, aggravated
robbery, drug trafficking, and family violence. As Trial Team Chief of the White-Collar Unit
since June 2020, Erin has also led complex investigations and prosecutions
involving Medicaid fraud, insurance fraud, securities fraud, and the
exploitation of elderly victims.
Beyond the
courtroom, Erin is a proud parent to a brilliant college freshman and enjoys
spending downtime with her beloved dogs and cat. In her spare time, Erin can be
found exercising, traveling, or sharing a K-drama or K-pop concert with her
daughter.
